Cookies on our website and apps.
Odido, Tele2, Ben and Simpel are under one roof. Together we fall under Odido NL Holding BV. This way we can offer our customers the services they deserve. In order to also offer them the most relevant information, we work together with a number of external parties that place (third) party advertising, affiliate, profiling and interest cookies.
A cookie is a small file that can be placed on your phone or computer when you first come into contact with an expression of ours. For example, when opening a website or app, or when viewing an advertisement. If you do something like this, we can store certain data in a cookie. A cookie from one of the five brands can also be placed on your phone or computer by a site or app that is not ours. For example, if you view an advertisement from us somewhere on the internet (but not on one of our sites). We call these advertising cookies. They are placed on behalf of Odido, Tele2, BEN or Simpel. Before we place cookies, we will let you know in a cookie banner: a kind of screen in which you indicate whether or not you want us to place cookies. Very convenient. In the cookie lists of all
Odido and Tele2 and Ben and Simpelyou can see on which domains the cookies are active and what they are used for.
More information about cookies can be found further down this page. For the privacy policy of Odido, Tele2, Ben and Simpel, we refer you to our
Privacy Statement. The overview of cookies is a snapshot. Odido, Tele2, Ben and Simpel strive to keep the list as up-to-date as possible. However, due to the non-static nature of the internet and the many (external) parties involved, it is possible that not all current cookies and/or sites can be found in the overview immediately.
Types of cookies.
Accept or reject cookies.
The law states that there is an information and consent obligation ( opt-in ) to use cookies. An opt-in means that Odido must ask permission in advance to place cookies on your computer, tablet or telephone. We must do this for every site or app that you have not previously visited. That is why you will see a pop-up window on your first visit, in which we tell you which cookies we want to place.
In this pop-up window you indicate whether you agree or not. If you accept or refuse cookies, your IP address will be stored in our database. Behind your IP address you will then see whether you have accepted the cookies (limited or completely). You will also see the date and time you did this. We store this information so that we know what you prefer. Then we load the correct cookies every time you visit our site or app. We will continue to do this until you remove your cookies or change your preference.
Never allow cookies on your computer at all? That's possible too. Then you have to adjust your browser settings. Look in the manual of your network browser how to do that.
How can you delete cookies yourself?
You can easily refuse cookies: by not giving permission to place cookies on your computer. Do you change your cookie preferences or do you not give permission at all to place cookies? Then we will no longer do anything with cookies. Good to know: we can no longer delete cookies that you already have on your device. We do not have access to your computer or telephone. You can delete existing cookies yourself via your internet browser. To do this, consult the manual of the network browser you use, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari. The site veiliginternetten.nl also explains how to delete previously created cookies.
After deleting cookies, we no longer recognize your browser. It is possible that you will have to set your preferences or log in again when opening the website or app. You will then see a cookie notification again.
